Admissions in Italy for Pakistani Students 2020:

The requirements for admissions in Italy are different for EU nationals and NON-EU nationals. The EU nationals can directly apply at any Italian University’s official website whereas the NON-EU nationals as Pakistani students would have to follow a different procedure. The Pakistani students willing to get admissions for under graduate or post graduate programme in an Italian University will have to register a Pre-Application Request to the Italian consulate in their home country. The Italian Consulate will accept the Pre-Application Form of the applicant and the further admissions process will start. The admissions submissions start from March to July. After acceptance of Pre Application Form, the Consulate issues a a document (“Dichiarazione di valore in loco”,) statement of validity. After that you will consult the international Student Office of your chosen university online or in some cases the embassy can forward the application itself. The university will send an email and ask for enrollment documents. The enrollment and merit requirements can be different according to your degree programme about which you can take information from the Italian University you have chosen for admission.

After getting acceptance letter from university the process for student’s visa starts. The type of visa applicable to you depends upon your duration of stay for the academic program you have taken admissions in. The Consulate will ask for the following documents for student’s visa in Italy:

·         An Original Travel document valid for at least three months after visa
·         Acceptance Letter From University/Enrollment Certificate or pre-enrollment in a university course
·         A Document proving that you have arranged an accommodation in Italy
·         A Document /Bank Statement proving that you have financial support (at least € 448,07 per month for the academic year, a total of € 5824,91 per year);

As you arrive in Italy, you must apply for a resident permit within 8 days of arrival. The Residence Permit Information Can Be Obtained From POLICE HEADQUARTERS (QUESTURA) At Once You Enter Italy. A Copy of Your Residence Permit Will Also be Submitted at the Nearest POLICE HEADQUARTERS (QUESTURA) In The City You Are Intended To Stay. This residence permit will serve as work permit for your part time jobs and allow you to freely move in the country.
